A priest with a bare upper body wearing a white dhoti and a gold-bordered shawl pours or scatters petals and flowers over a red-and-gold draped figure seated on the throne. Red roses and white jasmine garlands cover the seated figure. Another person in a reddish-brown dress with rudraksha malas stands at right holding a plate of yellow flowers, and several women in saffron and cream saris stand in the background near a fan and brass lamp. Visual cues do not establish a person as a physically present candidate, so the central figure's identity is uncertain. Opposite, a bearded man in white dhoti with a red-and-white beaded garland and white sacred ash marks pours from a multicoloured kalasha-style vessel. A shirtless young man in a white dhoti and a ceremonial gold chain stands nearby, with saffron-clad attendants behind. Gold trident finials flank the throne beneath a colourful tasselled canopy.
