A central figure seated on the throne wears a dark head covering, a red-and-white flower garland, a gold chain and a saffron-red cloth over the body, smiling as he extends a hand. Around him, devotees in white dhotis and cloths with gold borders stand close, some with palms joined in greeting. Women in cream and gold-bordered saris and a woman in a rust-coloured sari approach the throne. A man in a white shirt and white dhoti stands at right beside a bare-chested attendant with a gold-bordered cloth. Brass lamps and garlanded pillars frame the scene.2016-01-03May 13 20132013-05-13Photo 11712652February 11 20182018-02-11Photo 11717906 +1 copiesA photograph of a ritual at night in a temple-like hall. A bearded man in a saffron-brown robe sits on an ornate gold throne with a red cushion, wearing a white-and-pink flower garland, a gold pendant necklace, a rudraksha-style mala, and gold armlets, eyes closed and a vertical tilak on his forehead. Shirtless men in white dhotis stand and kneel around him, one bending forward to offer something to his hand. A cameraman in white attire films the scene with a video camera on the left. Behind the throne are hanging flower garlands, lamps and a carved stone wall. Around him, several shirtless men in white dhotis with white sacred threads stand and bow with folded hands, one touching the throne's edge. A videographer with a camera on the left records the scene, and a gold-and-flower decorated altar stands in the background. Behind the throne, a carved stone wall and a deity murti are partly visible. A green-sari woman stands at the right edge.2016-12-02September 18 20162016-09-18February 11 20182018-02-11
