Many wear orange shawls and saffron-coloured clothing, while others wear white. A woman in an orange sari sits on a stone bench at right, facing the crowd, with a microphone stand beside her, appearing to address the gathering. Behind the crowd stands a figure in orange robes near steps. A red and white signboard in Hindi is mounted at upper right. Several people sit in the foreground, including a bald man in orange and a person in an orange cap.2007-07-21A photograph of an outdoor ashram courtyard under a corrugated metal roof strung with brass hoops, with palm trees behind. Many people in white ritual clothing sit on the paved ground in rows, facing a raised area where a standing figure in white robes with a shaved head addresses them. A woman in a yellow top and a light sari stands at left holding a camera, and a fair-haired person in white sits in the front foreground. On the left a white-draped table holds a brass lamp and offerings beside a row of small statues. A red building with a sign for a temple stands at right beside flowering shrubs. The figure at centre is a priest or presenter in white rather than a clearly identified individual, so no identity is claimed.2010-10-05A photograph of a large outdoor gathering of devotees seated on the ground beneath a broad leafy tree at an ashram-style ceremony. Most people wear white garments, many women in white saris with coloured borders and men in white dhotis and shirts. Many wear rudraksha malas, and several have white vibhuti or kumkum marks on their foreheads. Many sit with palms pressed together in anjali mudra, some with eyes closed. A woman standing at left in a white garment and a woman in an orange shawl stand near the trunk, and a standing man in white is visible in the background. A floodlight is mounted on the tree trunk. Some attendees wear name badges on lanyards. No individual is clearly identifiable as a person in this frame.2005-12-31Outdoor photo of a crowd of devotees dressed in white kurta-style clothes with orange shawls draped over their shoulders, gathered densely in the foreground facing a raised seated figure in an orange robe at a doorway of a white building. Several people in white stand along the left and right sides, one holding a camera on a tripod. A green hedge and potted plants frame the scene, and a colourful striped umbrella stands at the right edge. The seated figure has long dark hair and sits on a wooden swing-like seat with hanging ropes. The page does not indicate a person at this event, and the seated figure's appearance is not clearly identifiable, so no candidate is recorded.2007-12-23December 06 20112011-12-06Photo 11705787
