Outdoor evening procession at a temple grounds with bamboo and trees behind. Several bare-chested young men with white vibhuti markings on their foreheads carry offerings: one holds a plantain-leaf tray of fruit, another a tray of pineapple and red fruit, and orange-clad attendants walk with them. In the foreground a man with grey hair and a white dhoti with gold border stands with hands joined in namaste, wearing a sacred thread. A woman in a purple sari is at the right edge. Several other people are visible in the background.2016-11-29Photo 11715006 +1 copiesMarch 16 20172017-03-16 +1 copiesA dense crowd of men, mostly bare-chested and wearing white dhotis, stands in close rows at an evening gathering under a white canvas backdrop. Many have white vertical sacred ash or chandan marks on their upper arms and shoulders and thin white cords slung across their chests. Several hold folded papers or small booklets, and one bearded man in the centre wears a red-orange tilak on his forehead and a red thread on his wrist. Some wear spectacles and an orange cloth is draped over one man's arm. The scene suggests a devotional programme with participants gathered for a discourse or initiation.2017-07-08July 15 20112011-07-15Photo 11712219 +1 copiesMay 26 20172017-05-26A photograph of a large seated congregation of men in a hall, most bare-chested and wearing white dhotis with gold borders, many with rudraksha malas and white ash or tilak marks on their bodies. In the foreground a young man with a white dhoti and red bead mala sits cross-legged on an orange cloth, hands clasped, while a man beside him with a shaved head and mustache holds a white cloth. Fruits, a green bag and yellow cloth lie on the floor at left, and the rows behind are filled with devotees attentively seated for the satsang.2018-05-27January 07 20122012-01-07December 22 20162016-12-22 +1 copiesDecember 02 20162016-12-02December 05 20142014-12-05
