In the foreground, two children in white ritual clothing stand before a decorated offering table draped with a white cloth bearing a rangoli-style pattern of yellow, red and pink flower petals. The table holds oranges, an apple, bananas, fresh flowers and incense sticks. The girl in front wears a white sari-style dress and necklace, while the boy beside her in white reaches toward an orange. Brass pots and metal vessels sit on the ground, and a woman in an orange sari stands behind them. Several other offering tables with garlands and fruit are arranged in the background.2017-05-26A ritual scene during a homa or puja with a visible fire burning in a brick fire pit at upper left. A young priest in white dhoti with gold border and bare chest, with white sacred ash marks on forehead and arms, raises a flaming kalasha-style lamp over a seated younger boy in saffron-orange robes and rudraksha mala. Behind them a standing boy in orange robes rings a handbell. Nearby stands an ornate gold-leaf throne with red cushioned back, a red draped altar table with marigold garlands, coconuts, pineapple and fruit offerings, and a brass tray of oil lamps and sweets. Scattered flower petals cover the ground, consistent with an aarti or homa-style puja.2013-12-21April 10 20172017-04-10May 02 20172017-05-02February 27 20162016-02-27May 02 20172017-05-02December 21 20132013-12-21
