Dozens of participants sit cross-legged in rows, mostly dressed in white with orange shawls draped over their shoulders. Several men wear rudraksha malas or tilak markings on their foreheads, and a few women sit among them. A man near the front centre with grey hair and glasses wears an orange shawl and white clothes. A photographer with a camera on a tripod stands at the back left. The ground is reddish earth and the atmosphere appears calm and focused.2006-10-11Photo 11711143September 01 20112011-09-01Photo 11705789February 05 20162016-02-05Photo 11711139A large crowd of women sits seated on mats under a white canopy in an open courtyard before a black stone deity murti draped with red and orange garlands. Most wear white or cream saris with gold borders and red shawls, some with orange or saffron tops, and many wear rudraksha malas. Palm trees, red-roofed buildings and camera tripods with cameras stand behind them, and a stone kalasha-like pillar is visible at left.2017-09-27
