A seated figure in a red garment wears a pink flower garland and a maroon head covering, hands raised in blessing, and a person is shown by his red-and-pink garments, flower garland and head covering. Behind the throne stand tall walls of marigold, yellow, white and purple flower garlands. Red stone steps hold many seated people in white ritual clothes, some with brass vessels, and a shirtless man in a cloth kneels near the lower steps by a flower offering. Several people in white and a few in colourful saris sit among rows of black stone lingams.2016-12-02February 27 20172017-02-27October 19 20152015-10-19 +1 copiesA seated man in saffron-orange clothing and an orange turban sits on an ornate golden throne (peetha) framed by a large arch of yellow marigold garlands with red and white floral bands. He wears a red-beaded rudraksha mala, a heavy gold necklace with a pendant, and gold bangles, with one arm resting on the throne. Golden lion figures flank the seat, and a gold-embroidered canopy and a gold umbrella stand behind him under green leafy branches. Tall silver trishula (trident) staffs and gold ceremonial umbrellas stand on either side, and a white tent ceiling is visible.2015-07-06Outdoor ceremonial photo at a tiered red-stone amphitheatre where many people in white and orange clothing sit on steps. In the centre, a man in a red-brown turban and saffron-orange robe, with a long garland of white and pink flowers, gold necklaces, bangles and rudraksha beads, sits on an ornate gold throne with red cushions under a canopy of striped red, yellow, blue and white fringed cloth. He raises one hand in greeting. Beside him stands a tall trident-topped staff. To the right, a large pillar wrapped in dense garlands of yellow, purple, green and white flowers. Several devotees in the foreground, some with shaved heads, face the throne. Swamiji (probable): the seated man wears a turban and saffron robe with garlands and a rudraksha mala, cues consistent with the page's reference to Swamiji, and is shown in an honoured seated role.2016-12-03
