A bare forearm with a thin metal bangle reaches in from the upper left, holding a flat round metal plate over the fire. Yellow-and-red painted brick edges frame the pit in the foreground. Blurred figures in white and saffron clothing stand in the background. The scene shows an offering being made into the fire, consistent with a homa or yagna.2017-12-28Close photograph of a homa fire pit lined with white brick and scattered with orange and pink flower petals and dried herbs, with smoke rising. A man with a gold bangle on his wrist holds a long gold-ringed ladle or sprinkler over the pit, pouring or scattering offerings.
