Two priests in rust-brown dhotis and shawls stand on a raised stone platform beside a red-and-gold throne-like seat decorated with yellow marigold garlands. The priest on the right wears a gold necklace and holds pink flowers; the priest on the left, with a shaved head, holds a silver vessel and a bunch of green leaves. Brass and copper pots of offerings, yellow flowers and a saffron cloth sit on the platform, and a small crowd of devotees watches from the background. A bare-chested man with a rust-red turban and a dark rudraksha mala with gold necklaces stoops over a square brick fire pit lined with yellow, pouring liquid from a small brass vessel into a copper bowl. Smoke rises from the pit. Beside him, a second man in orange-saffron dhoti and shawl stands with palms pressed together in namaste. Garlands of yellow and red flowers, steel and brass pots, a silver trident-shaped staff and a gold-draped pedestal form the foreground. Behind, a gilded ornament and a striped cloth banner in blue, yellow and red are visible, with a few more devotees in white at the edges. The scene resembles a homa or yagna.2017-10-15June 19 20142014-06-19
