In front, several young men in orange saffron dhotis and shawls carry a silver tray and a brass kalasha pot with a green plant sprig. Behind them, a man with a shaved-head-style hairdo and red-and-saffron clothing wearing a long multicolour flower garland and gold necklaces walks in the centre, with a small spiritual pendant and sandalwood or vibhuti on his forehead. Men in white shirts and white dhotis stand and walk along the sides, and a kalasha procession with devotees follows the carpet.2016-01-03A festive procession walks along a red carpet under an open pavilion with a striped umbrella and decorated canopies. At the centre, a smiling figure with long dark hair and a red-brown dhoti and shawl wears a thick multicoloured flower garland and a gold pendant, and is shielded by a red, yellow and blue ceremonial umbrella held by a man in white. Behind and beside him, several people in saffron-orange robes with gold borders carry a silver vessel with green leaves and a kalasha-style pot. A child in orange holds a small offering. Several men in white dhotis and shawls follow, along with a row of devotees in orange and red. Palm trees and a shaded roof frame the scene.2016-01-03December 24 20152015-12-24A procession under a covered tent walks along a red carpet. In the centre-left, a man in an orange robe and orange-red turban, with a garland of white and pink flowers around his neck, smiles and raises a hand in greeting; an attendant in orange walks beside him. Several figures in orange and saffron robes carry or walk alongside, including a woman in orange holding a brass tray. Behind them, a drummer in orange beats a large drum, and bare-chested young men in white dhotis wearing rudraksha malas follow. Colourful umbrellas in red, blue and patterned gold shade the group, and banners and orange-and-white flags hang from the tent frame, with green trees behind. The orange-robed man wearing a turban and garland is an appearance-based candidate, but the cues are not sufficiently distinctive for confirmation.2017-01-01December 24 20152015-12-24December 29 20162016-12-29 +1 copiesDecember 27 20162016-12-27 +1 copiesA procession moves along a red carpet in an open courtyard with trees behind. In the centre, a man in a maroon-brown dhoti and a white flower garland walks with palms pressed together, followed by a line of devotees in red and maroon robes with gold borders, many holding folded hands. On both sides, drummers in orange and gold garments beat drums, and attendants play long brass horns and carry a trident, a long staff and an orange-and-blue umbrella-like canopy on a pole. Behind them stands a shrine with a golden-framed deity murti and a carved temple structure under a tent canopy.2014-06-12December 26 20162016-12-26January 03 20162016-01-03
