The central figure has a red and orange turban with a crescent ornament, trident raised in one hand, and wears layered gold and jewelled necklaces, garlanded with red and white flower strands. A smaller seated figure in front holds a gold-edged tray or pedestal with a yellow and red garland. Two standing guardian figures flank the arch in red turbans and tiger-print or red garments with garlands. Brass oil lamps stand at the sides, and offerings of fruit and flowers sit on the altar base in orange cloth.2014-09-13 +1 copiesPhotograph of a richly decorated temple shrine with a central seated deity murti in a gold-and-red arched niche, holding a trident-like staff and a raised hand, adorned with garlands of white and pink flowers and purple-and-gold drapery. Flanking figures stand in carved and garlanded alcoves: a figure on the left in pink and purple with a turban and garland, and a figure on the right in brown and maroon with a turban, rudraksha-style beads and a garland. Brass oil lamps stand at both sides, and a golden kalasha-like object sits before the deity with flower garlands draped down. Small figurines and offerings lie at the base, and a blurred orange-flowered foreground is visible. Statues and murtis only; no physical people are present.2017-09-11
