Photograph of an outdoor ritual gathering. Many devotees sit on mats in rows facing a raised stage with a decorated shrine and a golden deity murti under an ornate canopy. Several women in saffron and orange saris and men in orange and maroon clothing sit cross-legged; some have long dreadlocked hair. A priest in a maroon garment sits near a brass puja setup with oil lamps, flower garlands and a steel plate. A figure in a dark robe sits on a gold throne with a red cushion at the right edge, with a gold-tasselled umbrella overhead. Brass oil lamps and marigold garlands are placed in front of the attendees. Green and foliage-filled plants and red-and-white striped pillars frame the scene.2016-08-12Photo 11704452August 12 20162016-08-12 +1 copiesOutdoor ritual on a raised stone platform under a canopy decorated with orange and yellow fringe and hanging flower strings. A man in a red-orange robe and a man in white sit near a golden puja setup, and a person in a green robe tends the altar. Two women in blue and green saris sit among the devotees. Ornate golden seats, plates of fruit and flowers, and a kalasha-style arrangement surround the platform. Several seated figures are visible in the foreground, with others standing at the back of the stage.2016-08-12Photo 11704480 +1 copiesAugust 12 20162016-08-12October 31 20102010-10-31 +2 copiesDecember 26 20082008-12-26A homa ceremony under a canopy of orange, yellow and green fabric with banana leaves tied to the poles.
