Beneath the canopy at right stands a small white open pavilion sheltering a dark stone deity murti or shivalinga-like form decorated with orange and yellow marigold garlands, set on a red painted base. A tall metal pole and light fixture rise nearby, and a white-walled compound edge and sandy ground surround the tree. No people are visible.2008-12-10February 22 20182018-02-22 +1 copiesA large old banyan tree with thick, spreading branches and many hanging aerial roots dominates the scene. At its base, within a small arched stone shrine framed by carved pillars, stands a black stone deity murti wearing a saffron-orange cloth, a red and yellow flower garland, and a small red-orange crown-like cap. Brick-and-stone paving surrounds the tree base, with steps leading up to the shrine platform. Green foliage fills the upper frame.2010-12-03
