A man with long, swept-back dark hair, wearing a red shawl draped over his shoulders, a rudraksha mala and a ceremonial gold necklace, holds a folded paper and extends his raised hand in blessing toward a line of devotees. A woman in a black and white floral sari stands with palms pressed together in namaste, and a younger woman in a maroon blouse and green sari with a child on her hip stands nearby holding a paper. On the right, a man in an orange robe holds a silver tray with gold-coloured items and offerings. Several other people in white and orange clothing stand in the background. Swamiji (probable): the man in red shawl and rudraksha mala, giving blessings, shows long swept-back hair, red shawl and ceremonial necklace cues.2011-02-16April 03 20162016-04-03December 15 20162016-12-15 +1 copiesJuly 19 20162016-07-19December 11 20162016-12-11A photograph of a Gurupoornima event under a white draped tent with pale pink and white satin swags. On the left, a long-haired figure in a sleeveless saffron-orange top, with orange cloth draped over the arm, stands near floral arrangements of white and yellow flowers with red blooms. A woman in a white blouse with an orange shawl and a garland leans forward beside them. In the centre, a young woman in a magenta and red saree with a bindi and a yellow lanyard holds her hands over a gold-coloured ornate object, possibly a vessel or murti, on an orange cloth. Other devotees in saris stand and sit behind them, and a gold-trimmed object sits in the foreground. The scene suggests a devotional offering or darshan line, though the ritual itself is not clearly visible.2009-07-07
