Several people hold round metal trays with lit oil lamps, extending them forward. In the foreground a white-haired elderly woman in a floral shawl reaches toward a flaming tray, while a man in cream kurta and glasses tends another lamp. A woman in an orange-and-marigold garland sits near the front, with a shaved-headed sadhu in orange wearing marigold garlands beside her. On the right, a bald priest in orange robes and beaded rudraksha malas stands by the tent pole, and a water bottle sits on a table. Several people in the background wear orange and red clothing.

A photograph of a crowded tent at a Kumbh Mela setting where people are performing an aarti with lit flames on metal plates. In the foreground, a man in a cream kurta holds a silver plate with a burning flame and a woman wrapped in a patterned shawl stands beside him. Behind them, a man in a red shirt bends forward offering a flaming plate, and along a row of white tables seated sadhus in orange robes and orange head cloths, some wearing marigold garlands, receive the flames with folded hands. A bald man in orange robes with a rudraksha mala stands at right, and bottled water sits on the table. Onlookers stand behind a green bamboo barrier. The scene is a ritual aarti offering to sadhus.

Indoor ritual scene with a group of women in saffron and maroon robes seated on the floor, many wearing rudraksha malas. In the foreground a woman in orange sari with a red border and long rudraksha mala holds up a lit oil lamp, while a woman in maroon sari beside her lifts another flame. Brass plates with yellow flowers, small cups and a pink container sit on mats in front. Several other women in the background hold lamps or join palms in prayer.

A row of saffron-robed sadhus with flower garlands sits along a long silver-covered table while attendants in red and white ritual dress hold brass plates with lit oil lamps toward them in an aarti-style offering. The seated men have white and grey beards and shaved or swept-back hair, and wear orange and saffron cloth with marigold garlands. Behind them an ornate gold-toned arch and decorated shrine structure glow with warm lights. The attendants wear red shawls, sacred threads and tilak marks on their foreheads. The scene resembles a formal bandara or honouring ceremony for Mahanirvani akhada leaders. No single figure is clearly identifiable as a person from appearance, so no candidate is marked.

A long row of seated priests and sadhus performs a ritual, each holding a silver plate with a lit oil lamp in front of a silver-covered table. Many sadhus wear saffron-orange robes and orange-marigold garlands; one wears a red turban and another has a yellow tilak. Several priests in white dhotis wear red sacred threads and rudraksha-style beaded necklaces. Behind them, a gilded shrine and red drapes frame the hall, with tray offerings of marigolds and sweets at the right. The scene looks like an aarti or puja at the Kumbh Mela camp.
