The priest has a shaved head, a red tilak on the forehead, a rudraksha mala around the neck, and a gold bangle on the wrist. He grips the lamp stand with one hand while looking toward it. The background is blurred, showing other figures in orange and a warm wooden wall. A camera tripod is visible at the left edge.2012-08-23A man in orange saffron robes and dark rudraksha beads holds a tall silver multi-tiered aarti lamp with several lit oil lamps, gazing toward the flames during an evening ceremony. He wears a red tilak on his forehead, a gold bangle and a rudraksha mala. Behind him, blurred devotees in white and orange clothing sit in a warmly lit hall with brown patterned walls. The shaved-head priest appearance is not a clear enough cue to confirm a person's identity, so his role is described as a priest performing aarti. Lit oil lamps and a silver stand are the central objects.2012-08-23November 29 20182018-11-29January 02 20192019-01-02November 11 20182018-11-11Close photo of a brass multi-tiered oil lamp (nilavilakku) with many lit flames on a tall stand and a smaller lit lamp beside it. A person in orange-saffron clothing stands at right, wearing a rudraksha mala necklace, and holds a brass handbell with a figural handle in one hand while the other hand reaches toward the lamp. The background is blurred warm-toned interior. Lamp lighting suggests an aarti or puja setting. a person: the saffron robe and rudraksha mala are visible cues but the face and head are cropped out, so identity is uncertain.2017-07-20December 29 20182018-12-29November 10 20182018-11-10A tiered brass lamp stand with multiple rings of lit oil lamps is held aloft by a hand wearing a rudraksha bracelet of beads. Flames burn on each of the six tiers and at the crown of the stand against a dark red background. The brass lamp appears to be an aarti lamp used in ritual worship. No person's face is visible, and no one else is in the frame.2014-07-11Photo 11701603December 16 20182018-12-16
