May 15 20162016-05-15A dark polished stone shivalinga stands in a metal yoni basin at a temple shrine, with an orange and yellow sandalwood or turmeric paste smeared on its side and a yellow flower placed on top. A hand pours water from a silver vessel over the linga, which flows into the basin. Behind it a figure seated on a decorated seat wears a dark blue crowned cap with a crescent moon, a red and white bead mala, a gold pendant, and an orange-and-gold cloth; a white-painted face and an arm with bangles are visible. Ornate gold and red fabrics, brass lamps and garlands fill the background. This appears to be an abhishekam.2016-05-15May 15 20162016-05-15May 09 20162016-05-09May 15 20162016-05-15A bearded man with long dreadlocked hair, wearing an orange saffron dhoti and shawl, bare-chested and marked with white ash stripes, pours milk from a silver vessel over a white-coated shivalinga on a black base. A rudraksha mala hangs at his chest and beaded bracelets are on his wrists. Behind him stands a large gilded deity murti adorned with jewelled crown, gold armour and red flower garlands. The scene is a linga abhishekam in a temple sanctum.2018-08-21November 14 20162016-11-14June 19 20162016-06-19May 15 20162016-05-15Photo 11743286 +2 copiesNovember 25 20182018-11-25Photo 11743219 +1 copies
