Night procession at an outdoor ground with smoke drifting on the left. Devotees in white and orange-clad figures walk in a crowd past a thatched umbrella-style canopy on a pole and a decorated palanquin-like float on the right, lit with red and yellow lights. A figure seated on the illuminated float is too small and distant to assess. Several people in the foreground are in silhouette, and the crowd is dense enough that the total is approximate.2016-03-02Night procession on a dark open ground with white smoke drifting at left. Several people walk in a group, many in white and orange or saffron garments, some with hands folded in prayer. A large thatched umbrella on a tall pole and smaller umbrellas with red and gold fringe shelter the procession. At right, a brightly lit red and gold figure stands on a decorated float or platform. Some participants wear orange garments and others wear white dhotis or robes.2016-03-02March 02 20162016-03-02September 15 20162016-09-15Photo 11701847March 02 20162016-03-02November 05 20162016-11-05September 15 20162016-09-15Night outdoor ritual photograph with smoke drifting across a dark ground. A small raised platform with a canopy of red, yellow and blue stripes stands at centre, with figures near it and a stepped ladder at its side. Fires and flames burn at left and centre-left, and white floodlights illuminate the scene. A dense group of standing onlookers in pale and dark clothing stands at the left edge, and a figure in light clothing walks at right. Domed structures are visible in the smoky background. The setting suggests a fire ritual, but the specific rite cannot be confirmed from the image alone.2017-10-19November 05 20102010-11-05September 30 20172017-09-30Night outdoor ritual at an open ground lit by a few lamps and a small fire. On the left, a decorated cart carries an illuminated deity murti under a canopy, with a smoking censer and lamp nearby. A row of about a dozen people in orange and saffron robes stands in a line, several raising arms or hands toward the cart, while others in white and light clothing stand behind them. On the right, a raised platform draped in orange cloth holds a floral-decorated seat under an umbrella, with people standing near it. Dark trees and a wall form the background. The scene shows a procession-style ritual of devotees offering aarti before a lit murti.2016-03-02
