In the foreground a bald man in orange with beaded necklaces holds a microphone, and a man in orange with a garland speaks beside him. Long green banana-leaf plates of rice and food are laid on a white cloth in the lower right, with water bottles nearby. Behind them, a few people in white and orange sit on a hall floor beside display boards on easels. The scene suggests a Maheshwara Puja food offering, with the monastics seated for the ritual.2016-02-23Indoor photo of a row of saffron-robed sannyasi men seated cross-legged on the floor with palms pressed together in prayer before a meal. Each wears a rudraksha mala, sacred ash marks on forehead and arms, and orange-brown dhoti with yellow borders. Banana leaf plates of rice, curries, papadum and sweets sit in front of them, with paper cups of water. A white marble floor, pink walls, a red curtain and a saffron-draped stage with a monitor appear behind. Ash and rudraksha-clad devotees are seated in rows, and the scene suggests an annadan or group meal before food is taken.2013-12-16 +1 copiesApril 23 20132013-04-23 +2 copiesA photograph of a row of shaved-headed monks in saffron-orange robes seated on the floor with palms pressed together in prayer.
