A photograph of a construction site beside large white tent structures. Three workers dig in brown earth with spades and hoes, one in a patterned shirt and checked lungi standing at the left, one in a light blue shirt bending low, and one in a grey shirt and dark trousers swinging a tool at right. Freshly dug mounds of soil surround white PVC pipes and yellow concrete rings lie on the ground. Behind them a man in a white shirt stands near a yellow excavator, and a red-roofed building, a water tower and trees appear in the background.2016-11-24Outdoor photo of a groundbreaking or earth-digging ceremony on reddish soil under a striped blue, purple and green tent. In the foreground, a barefoot man in a white shirt and blue checked lungi digs with a flat metal shovel while another older man in white stoops nearby. Behind them, a seated figure in an orange-red robe sits on a raised red seat, flanked by rows of saffron-robed attendees on mats. Onlookers in white dhotis and casual clothes stand at the sides, and a kalasha-like setup is not visible; the scene reads as a ceremonial site ritual with a crowd of about a hundred.2017-02-03Photo 11698213Outdoor ashram construction work on a dusty ground. A woman in a green floral sari and a head scarf walks past a pile of sand and rubble. In the background, a shaded area with a colourful canopy, red-and-white striped plinths and a deity shrine with a small lamp stand, and trees with orange and red hanging decorations. Five or so workers in light shirts, lungis and head cloths dig a trench in reddish soil. One worker in a white dhoti and red head cloth stands on a pile of earth, and another bends low near the ground. White PVC pipes with fittings lie along the trench beside the wall, and loose bricks, blue pipes and stacked materials are scattered around. Green trees stand in the background.2007-03-29A photograph of temple construction labour on a sandy site.
