The statue wears a yellow-and-green flower garland and stands on a pedestal. In the foreground a bald priest in an orange dhoti and rudraksha beads bends toward large brass vessels. Behind them a white metal scaffold frames a blurred crowd of spectators in colourful clothing.2016-12-03A golden metal deity murti standing on a pedestal is being bathed with water from a brass pot held overhead by a priest with bare upper body wearing a white dhoti. Beside him a second priest in an orange-red cloth bends low over brass vessels and buckets. Behind them a large dark stone lingam-style structure stands on a stone base, with rows of grey carved figures and red-flagged steps in the background. Brass pots, lamps and offerings are placed on the wet stone platform. This appears to be an abhishekam being performed in an outdoor temple setting.2016-10-31October 31 20162016-10-31
