On the left, a long-haired man with a beard, wearing a rust-orange cloth and a white flower garland, sits with hands folded on an ornate gold-and-red throne, with a golden lion figure at lower right. Two men in white dhotis stand at right, one in a red cloth holding a large yellow offering bowl over the fire. Around the fire, about thirty seated devotees in white clothes sit on striped mats. Plates of red flowers, fruits and coconut sit near the pit, and a tall brass lamp stands behind it. a person appearance is probable for the seated man on the throne, judged from long hair, a rust-orange cloth and a flower garland.2017-04-28October 10 20162016-10-10Night-time outdoor temple ritual under a tin-roofed pavilion strung with coloured lights. On a raised golden seat under a white canopy sits a figure with long dark hair in orange-saffron robes, an ornate gold-trimmed throne in the foreground. Around a raised platform, white-clad priests in dhotis and shoulder cloths perform puja; one priest in white with a white head cloth and red-bordered cloth stands before a fire pit of burning embers with a row of decorated brass and silver offerings. Dozens of seated young participants, mostly bare-chested in white dhotis, sit on the ground facing the ritual, and a black stone Nandi with flower garland is in the lower right. Brass pots and banana-leaf-style offering plates fill the floor, and a deity image stands at the back of the platform.2017-05-02
