October 10 20162016-10-10A night photograph of an outdoor-roofed hall decorated with hanging paper lanterns, tassel decorations and green garlands for Deepavali. On a raised platform at the centre, a large deity murti stands beside a seated figure; oil lamps burn on the platform steps. Several people in white and saffron clothing kneel in front of the platform performing a puja, one holding a tray of offerings and a conch-like arrangement of lamps. A seated audience of many devotees in colourful saris and kurtas fills the foreground on the floor. A man in an orange shirt stands at the left-centre facing the platform. A small screen at the top left shows a figure in a red and white outfit. An appearance-based candidate for a person is not clearly visible, so the identity is left uncertain.2016-10-29Night photo of an open-sided pavilion with a corrugated metal roof, strings of multicoloured fairy lights, and a large wall-mounted world map with a small portrait printed at upper left. At the centre, a fire burns in a yellow-draped homa platform on a colourful striped rug, with fruit and flower offerings nearby. Several men in saffron or orange garments and white dhotis stand and sit around the fire, one in a white dhoti with bare upper body; a golden throne-like seat and a decorated golden stand sit on the platform. Women in orange saris are among the attendants, and a seated crowd fills the floor beyond. A monitor sits in the foreground with a cameraman filming.2017-04-16April 16 20172017-04-16October 10 20162016-10-10April 16 20172017-04-16April 16 20172017-04-16October 16 20102010-10-16February 16 20162016-02-16 +2 copiesNight ceremony under a corrugated metal shed hung with string lights, with a large crowd seated on the ground.
