Inside a niche of the shrine sits a golden seated statue of a figure with a serene face and draped robe, a statue rather than a living person. A tall palm-like stalk is tucked beside the garland. The background shows a cloudy grey sky, green trees and a palm frond on the right.2015-09-08September 08 20152015-09-08A close view of an ornate copper-coloured ceremonial pillar or stand decorated with yellow marigold and red rose garlands draped across it. Inside a niche at its centre sits a small gold-toned seated figure of a sage or teacher wearing a draped robe, shown as a statue. Dry palm-leaf whisks are tied to the sides. Behind, a tall coconut palm and green foliage fill the outdoor background. The scene looks like a temple-grounds decoration, possibly for a flag-hoisting ceremony.2015-09-08September 09 20142014-09-09October 07 20102010-10-07December 14 20102010-12-14A carved wooden shrine panel decorated with yellow marigold and red rose garlands and dry straw or grass bundles. Inside a recessed niche sits a seated gilded or bronze-toned figure in a draped robe, one hand raised to the cheek in a contemplative pose, wearing a long rudraksha mala and a red tilak on the forehead. Ornate carved columns frame the niche, and the sky is pale behind the structure.2010-07-05June 07 20112011-06-07September 08 20152015-09-08October 07 20102010-10-07November 29 20112011-11-29
