May 01 20122012-05-01 +2 copiesIndoor group photo at a KAILASA Melbourne gathering: a large seated statue of a guru-like figure in a black headpiece, ornate orange and green dress, and layered white and multicolored flower garlands sits at the centre, with a silver-toned hand raised in blessing. Around it, a crowd of adults and children in saris, salwar kameez, kurta and casual wear sits or kneels on a pink mat, several smiling and posing. A man in a grey shirt and white dhoti stands at left, and brass plates with offerings, flowers and small lamps lie in the foreground. A puja or Jayanthi celebration setting with a visible statue, not a living person.2021-12-28A group photograph in a dim temple room posed around a golden-framed deity murti dressed in a red and pink garment with a red turban and pink flower garlands. Several women and children in saffron, orange and red traditional clothing sit and stand around the figure, some with hands joined in greeting. A woman in white holds a baby at the upper right, and a man in a striped shirt and white dhoti kneels at the lower right. Brass lamps, a bronze statue and ornate costumes line the background, and marigold garlands hang from the arch.2024-04-14April 29 20132013-04-29KAILASA LOS ANGELES, USA on 5/3/20222022-05-03 +1 copiesA group of about fourteen people stands in a row on a white stage in front of dark red drapes, posing for a group photograph.
