A woman in a white sari with a gold border and a lanyard badge stands behind a seated elderly woman in an orange and gold patterned sari, placing her hand on the elder's head while the elder sits with hands pressed together in prayer. A row of plastic chairs and a white-draped table holding brochures and small items sits to the left. Several men in light shirts and trousers stand and one man bends over the table in the background, with more people walking among trees in the distance. Blessing-style giving of touch and devotion is visible, with a white perimeter wall and tents beyond.2012-04-06Outdoor photograph in a courtyard with bare earth and a red-brick wall. A large framed portrait on a stand, garlanded with white flowers, shows a smiling person in white head-wrap and white clothing with rudraksha beads; the portrait carries a Tamil caption naming a person. Before it, several people sit on red and blue plastic chairs: a woman in a white sari kneels at left, a woman in a pink-and-blue sari sits near her, and a girl in orange sits center. A woman in a lavender sari stands at left. Men in white kurta and shirts stand at right, one in a white shirt touching the girl's head in blessing, and another standing beside them. Behind them hangs a large framed photograph of a long-haired man in saffron clothing, wearing a rudraksha mala, seated before a banyan tree with large roots. The woman wears gold bangles and earrings. On the right, a small shrine with a framed deity image, a brass lamp, flowers, plates of offerings and a figurine sits on a cloth. The photo appears to be a blessing or darshan at a home altar. The portrait shows a saffron-clad figure with long hair, rudraksha mala and ceremonial gold necklace, consistent with Swamiji, though this is an appearance-based judgement.Photograph of cyclone relief distribution at a village wall outside a house, with a palm-tree backdrop. Men in white shirts and a girl in yellow kneel with folded hands in the foreground, and a large crowd fills the background under strings of lights. A banner with Tamil text hangs behind the stage.
