Several volunteers in plain white shirts and white dhotis, some wearing rudraksha-style malas, serve yellow rice from large steel vessels onto steel plates. A man in a purple striped shirt and a woman in white with a gold necklace stand among them, with more people queued behind. Behind them, banners show a portrait labelled "Paramahamsa Nithyananda" and a Tamil-titled panel reading "Nithya Annadanam" with photos of seated meals, and a banner reading "Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam" with a red and white border. A small cloth banner hangs from a blue pole. Only the physical people are the servers and nearby attendees, roughly six to twenty.2010-01-08 +3 copiesA photograph of volunteers serving food at an annadan in a covered hall with a tin roof. Several men and women in white shirts or white clothes and dark rudraksha-style beaded necklaces stand behind large stainless steel pots, ladling yellow rice-like food and sweet items onto paper plates. A man in the foreground at left holds a plate of yellow food, and a man at right stirs a pot with a ladle. Behind them, printed banners and posters on the wall show a woman in orange, a mountain scene and a small framed photograph. Steam rises in the air.2010-01-08 +3 copiesOutdoor street scene at a roadside food-distribution stall. A man in an orange-saffron garment stands behind a steel serving table, handing food from a steel vessel to a line of men. Visible people include a man in a white shirt and yellow lungi, a man in a pink checked shirt with a blue checked lungi, a man in a white shirt, and a man in a dark plaid shirt. A blue plastic drum and a striped orange-topped umbrella stand nearby. A large blue banner with Tamil text hangs behind the stall, and a yellow building with a signboard is at right. The saffron-clad server may be a candidate for a person, but the visible cues are limited to orange clothing and the face is partly obscured, so the identity is uncertain.2022-04-15Photo 11728857May 19 20192019-05-19Photo 99189792006-01-01 +1 copiesOutdoor annadan food service under a corrugated metal roof beside a red brick wall. Stainless steel serving trays with rice and curry sit on a long metal table. Three women in white saris with hairnets, one holding a ladle, serve food; an older man in white dhoti and white shirt with an orange shawl stands beside them. A young man in a white shirt and black trousers, with a light tilak on his forehead and an orange thread on his wrist, carries a steel plate. Several other people in white and one in a checked shirt stand nearby, and a tree with pink flowers shows behind the wall.2021-05-26Photo 82843102010-01-01 +2 copies
