A silver band encircles the middle of the linga. Water streams down from above and ripples across the reflective pool, with floating flower petals on the surface. Red and white striped edging surrounds the basin, and small string lights glow in the background.2010-02-12Night photograph of a large black Shiva linga being bathed by a tall spray of water, with water jets rising around it. The linga is decorated with garlands in yellow, purple, white and orange, including a band around its base and a draped garland around the yoni-peetha. A striped red and white border surrounds the platform, which sits in water reflecting the lights. Tiered seating in red is faintly visible in the background with a few lamps. No people are clearly visible. The scene is consistent with a linga abhishekam.2010-02-12August 25 20142014-08-25August 25 20142014-08-25Photo 11692879Night photograph of a large dark stone Shiva lingam with its yoni-pitha base, decorated with garlands of yellow and white flowers and red-and-white strands draped around the base.
