The goddesses wear white embroidered sarees and are garlanded with marigolds and red flowers. In the foreground a shaven-headed priest in rust-orange dhoti and angavastram with a golden border faces the shrine, holding a silver vessel in his left hand, with a rudraksha mala at his neck. A patterned maroon carpet and a small flower-decorated offering tray sit in front. A man's head is partly visible at the lower edge. The setting is an outdoor shrine with trees behind, consistent with a puja or aarti.2014-10-02October 02 20142014-10-02October 03 20142014-10-03October 04 20142014-10-04Photo 11689590October 02 20142014-10-02Photo 11689563A priest in a saffron-orange dhoti and shawl performs puja before a large clay Durga murti under an open tin-roofed pavilion. The goddess has multiple arms and a white ornate crown and white lace-like backdrop, with a lion mount beside her and a Ganesha figure at the base. Yellow-orange and red marigold garlands drape the deities. The priest, bare-chested with white tripundra marks on his arms and chest, holds a silver vessel and offers to the murti. A young woman in a green sari with flowers in her hair stands beside him holding a flower or offering. Silver bowls and vessels sit on a red cloth in front. Trees and a yellow cloth hang on the left.2014-10-02
