March 24 20082008-03-24A health check station at a community event. A woman in a cream sari with orange and green border checks blood pressure on a seated woman in a purple patterned sari, using a mercury sphygmomanometer on a white-draped table. Another woman in a yellow outfit stands behind, and a man in a light blue shirt writes at a desk on the left. Behind them hang dark boards with Kannada names and dates in white and yellow script, with a red cloth panel to the right. The scene shows a medical screening, not a ritual.2010-10-10A medical camp at an outdoor riverside setting. In the foreground, a woman with grey hair and a floral shawl sits on a red plastic chair while a woman in a white sari with a blue ID lanyard and a rudraksha-style bead mala listens to her chest with a stethoscope. A white-draped table with paperwork and a pen stands in front. Behind them, a crowd of men and women in white kurtas, saffron and orange clothing, and headwraps stands and sits, with a few people in white kurtas and a man in an orange turban among them. Bright hazy daylight and a flagpole with a small flag appear in the background.2013-02-09A health fair photograph in a white tent with folding chairs and draped tables. A seated man in long dark hair and an orange shawl, wearing a rudraksha mala, places his right hand on the forehead of a man in white kurta who leans forward and wears glasses. Behind them a young man in white with an orange shawl stands near a white table. Around the table are small pamphlets and a tray with yellow sweets and a brown offering. Onlookers in white shirts, orange shawls and saris stand and sit nearby, including a grey-haired woman in a pink and patterned sari and a young woman with a braid in an orange shawl. A white folding chair and a fan are visible in the background.2008-03-24A seated elderly woman in a wheelchair, wearing a floral print blouse and a red tilak on her forehead, reaches forward to clasp the hand of a man in a saffron-orange robe with long, swept-back dark hair and a rudraksha mala who extends a wooden staff toward her. A shaved-headed monk in orange sits behind him on a red-cushioned seat, and a tray of fruit and bundles of currency notes lies to the right beside framed images and rudraksha beads. Standing behind the woman are a man in white kurta with a lanyard, a man in a checked shirt wearing an orange-beaded garland, and a boy in plaid. Several other attendees are partly visible at the edges, with a woman in white at left and dark-haired heads in the foreground. The setting appears to be a hall with a red carpet and white draped tables.2008-03-24A healing darshan session in a hall with a red-carpeted floor. An elderly woman in a pink floral sari sits in a wheelchair while a seated figure in saffron robes touches her forehead and holds a small object near her hand. A bald man in saffron and another man in saffron stand nearby, and a woman in a green-yellow embroidered salwar kameez and several men in shirts stand in a line of devotees. A woman in white and orange kneels in the lower right, and a flower-decorated white cloth and offering tray sit at the right edge. A saffron-robed figure in the upper right stands near a flower vase. The seated central figure in saffron may be a person, but appearance cues are not distinctive enough to confirm, so this is marked unsure.2008-03-01March 24 20082008-03-24Photo 11712468 +1 copiesA photograph of a health camp inside a plain room.
