Yellow and orange marigolds, white jasmine, and red and purple flowers are heaped around them. A tall garland pillar wrapped in red, white, yellow and purple blossoms stands at right beside a man in a striped shirt and blue trousers. The men wear white shirts, checked shirts and lungis. Sacks and a blue bag sit in the background. No a person is visible in this flower-preparation scene.2015-01-03A floor-level photograph of men stringing and assembling flower garlands inside a temporary wooden-framed room. Several seated men work on mats: one in a white vest, others in striped and plaid shirts. Piles of marigold-style yellow and red blooms, purple flowers and green leaves are scattered across an orange cloth. Finished garlands in yellow, red, purple and green lie in rolls. Behind them are draped white and pink statues, bolts of cloth and bags, and a red curtain hangs at right.2011-12-12A photo of a red-walled room where men are assembling flower garlands on the floor. Seven or eight men sit or crouch on newspaper-covered ground, stringing yellow marigolds, white jasmine and red roses into long garlands; piles of yellow and white blossoms and loose petals lie around them, and sacks are stacked along the back wall. A man in a white shirt and dark trousers stands at the centre-right, and a tall garland with bands of red, white, purple and yellow hangs on the right edge. No a person candidate is visible.2015-01-03A group of men sit and stand on a floor covered with loose yellow, white and red marigold and rose petals, stringing garlands in a red-walled hall. Men in white shirts, a checked red shirt and a striped shirt work cross-legged on sheets; one man in a white shirt and dark trousers stands at left, and another in a checked shirt and blue trousers hangs a multicoloured flower garland on a pillar at right. Plastic bags, a metal pot and plastic cups lie nearby. The scene looks like preparation of floral decorations for a ritual or festival, with no visible figure identifiable as a person.2015-01-03A group of men sit cross-legged on a mat-covered floor under a red and black tent cloth, stringing marigold and red flower garlands for a ceremony. Piles of yellow marigolds and red blossoms lie before them, along with loose green leaves and raffia strands used to bind the garlands. Most wear white or light shirts and dhotis, while one wears a pink shirt and another a green patterned shirt. A pale orange wall and a bundled sack sit in the background. No one visible is identified as a person.2006-12-31September 22 20092009-09-22A photograph of a seated man with long, swept-back dark hair wearing a saffron-orange robe, smiling as an older man in a white shirt and white dhoti places a white and red flower garland around his neck. The seated man wears a gold wristwatch and rings, and he has a rudraksha-style neck adornment visible at his chest. Behind them a second man in white with an orange cloth stands, and a tray of marigold flowers sits on a white cloth at left. The wall is unpainted cinder block with a light switch. The seated man is a probable Swamiji by his long hair, saffron robe and garland, while the garland giver is a devotee.2007-02-15December 25 20052005-12-25February 15 20072007-02-15October 16 20072007-10-16
