Interior of a small temple-like hall with green walls, a blue-painted ceiling beam and a ceiling fan. Two red-and-white striped pillars frame a path covered with yellow and orange flower petals and red rose petals leading toward an inner doorway. Five men stand in the hall: an older man in white shirt and glasses at left, a man in orange dhoti and a man in white dhoti and shirt near the path, and two men in white shirts at right, one pointing toward the path. Framed photographs and a deity picture hang on the walls, and a figure stands in the far doorway.2014-07-01July 01 20142014-07-01Photo 11731586 +1 copiesJuly 30 20082008-07-30July 01 20142014-07-01Photo 11732121July 01 20142014-07-01A photo inside a temple hall at dusk showing a group of about eight men standing in a row beside a decorated Ganesha murti. The murti has a white trunk-shaped face, a crown, a purple beaded garland and a green leaf backdrop, seated on an orange cloth draped over a platform. In front lies a banana-leaf offering with bananas, fruits, sweets, nuts, coconut pieces and kumkum. A brass oil lamp stands on the floor. On the right a bare-chested priest in white dhoti presses his palms together in prayer. Others wear red, orange and white shirts and white veshtis. A pillar and tiled floor frame the scene. Ganesha Chaturthi puja is visible.A photograph of a long carpet of yellow and orange marigold petals with red accents laid along the dirt ground under a thatched shelter roofed with banana leaves. Men in white shirts and white dhotis stand along both sides, one holding a long silver staff. Further down the path, people in white and saffron clothing wait near the entrance. A yellow and blue painted building lies beyond the bamboo fencing. The scene suggests a welcome or padapuja path prepared for a visit.2014-07-01Photo 11732524 +2 copiesPhoto 11733098 +2 copiesSeptember 11 20122012-09-11 +1 copies
