In the foreground, a raised stone platform is covered with yellow marigold flowers edged with pink rose petals, with a single red flower placed in the middle. Above it on the ground is a white kolam floral rangoli design with a central motif. Around the kolam stand several people in white dhotis and shirts, and figures in saffron-orange shawls and dhotis. One man in a saffron-orange dhoti wears a long white flower garland. Drummers with drums stand at the upper left. Some people are pressing their hands together in reverence.2006-12-26July 01 20142014-07-01Outdoor photo of a shaved-headed, bare-chested priest in a white dhoti kneeling at a red-earth mound decorated with marigold and rose garlands, petals and yellow turmeric powder, holding a small offering tray. Behind him stand several men: an older man in a white shirt and white dhoti with hands folded, a man in a white shirt and checked lungi, and men in dark shirts and lungis. A small stone shrine with a pinnacle and a green tree stand in a field behind a wire fence under a hazy sky.2017-02-03July 01 20142014-07-01February 03 20172017-02-03A photograph of a long carpet of yellow and orange marigold petals with red accents laid along the dirt ground under a thatched shelter roofed with banana leaves. Men in white shirts and white dhotis stand along both sides, one holding a long silver staff. Further down the path, people in white and saffron clothing wait near the entrance. A yellow and blue painted building lies beyond the bamboo fencing. The scene suggests a welcome or padapuja path prepared for a visit.2014-07-01July 01 20142014-07-01July 01 20142014-07-01A photograph of devotees arranging a floral rangoli-style design on the ground before a white stepped base or pedestal. Three people are visible: a woman in white with a long braid bending over the flower pattern at left, a partly visible woman in white at upper left, and a man in a white shirt and white dhoti, with a rudraksha mala around his neck and bangles on his wrists, kneeling at right and placing marigold and rose petals. The design is a circular flower pattern with yellow marigolds, red roses and green leaves arranged around white petal shapes. Loose petals and a blue plastic sheet lie nearby, and the white base above is decorated with purple, yellow and red flower garlands.2009-12-29
