Around them, men in white shirts and dhotis, some with red and yellow tilak marks on their foreheads, press in. A grey-haired man with white forehead markings and a bead necklace appears behind them. Many people around him raise their hands, some in white shirts and dhotis, others in orange clothing. A young man in a white shirt holds a small oil lamp at lower left, and a woman in white beside him wears a flower garland and holds a bouquet with red flowers. Trees and a yellow flag frame the background under dim lighting. The scene suggests a welcome or house visit, and the figure's identity is uncertain from appearance alone.2014-06-27Night photograph of a crowd surrounding a central figure in a maroon-red turban and rust-red robe with a long rudraksha mala draped over the shoulders. Several men in white shirts and dhotis, some with white tilak on the forehead and orange or saffron garments, press close and reach toward him while a woman in a teal sari with an orange flower in her hair is in the foreground. A dark vehicle is visible behind the group under a night sky, and a man at right holds up a phone to record. Cues for a person presence are the turban, rudraksha mala and saffron-toned robe, but the face is not visible enough to confirm identity.2016-03-29Photo 11687486 +2 copiesMarch 29 20162016-03-29
