A seated man in orange and saffron robes, wearing a gold crown, a red-and-white flower garland and a thin microphone on his face, sits on an ornate gold throne with a gold lion armrest and a red cushion, holding a silver staff and extending his hand. Standing before him, an elderly priest in a gold crown, orange shawl and long white-and-orange garland holds a silver staff and a white ritual cloth. Behind them, a bald priest with white tilak marks, a man in white dhoti with rudraksha mala and gold armlets holding a gold kalasha, and an attendant in orange stand near a dark maroon curtain. A seated man with long dark hair, a gold crown, a rudraksha mala and a large garland of red and white flowers wears saffron robes and smiles while raising his hand. Beside him stands an older man in a gold crown, red-and-white flower garland and orange-and-gold shawl, holding a tall silver staff. Another saffron-robed attendant holds a matching staff, and a bare-chested man in white dhoti wears a rudraksha mala. On the left, a smiling man with long hair, a gold crown, a gold-and-red garland and orange robes sits with palms pressed together. On the right, a seated man in a gold crown, red-and-white garlands and an orange shawl speaks into a microphone with one hand raised. Behind them, a third robed figure in orange sits on a small throne before an ornate doorway with hanging brass bells. A golden lion sculpture and a gold ritual bowl sit on the stage floor, with a red carpet below. Several robed figures appear in the scene.2012-04-27A photo of a stage with two ornate gilded thrones in front of painted panels of two standing guardian figures with flaming crowns, one holding a staff. On the left, a man in saffron-orange clothes and a rudraksha mala sits with palms pressed together in greeting, smiling. On the right, an elderly man in a saffron shawl and a flower garland sits raising one hand before a microphone stand. A third figure in orange robes sits behind them on a smaller gilded seat. A brass bowl sits on the carpeted floor and a lion-form armrest is visible at the left. The thrones and garlands suggest a ceremonial seating, with no visible audience in frame.2012-04-27 +1 copiesNovember 22 20132013-11-22April 27 20122012-04-27 +1 copiesA photograph of a ceremonial stage at a Madurai Aadheenam coronation-style event. On the left, a man with long swept-back dark hair, a gold necklace and orange robes sits on an ornate gold throne with red cushions, smiling and gesturing with his hands; he matches the page's Swamiji reference with long hair, orange clothing and ornate gold adornments, so he is probable Swamiji. On the right, an elderly bald priest in an orange-brown cloth, rudraksha mala and gold necklace sits on a second gold throne holding a book. Between them, a younger man in white dhoti and shawl stands near a seated sannyasi in orange with red headwear. Behind them, large painted guardian figures with orange and gold garments and gold maces flank a teal wall with hanging lamps, and a golden lion sculpture sits at the centre.
