A young man in white dhoti and a white shawl stands at the right holding a small object, facing a seated group of devotees. Several women in colourful saris sit on a blue mat in front, and a row of black stone statues of seated saints lines the back wall, alongside gilded deity murtis of Rama and Krishna on a shelf. Brass puja vessels and offerings sit on a tray at the front, and a dark statue stands near the left edge. Only the standing man is clearly in white; no figure is clearly identifiable as a person from appearance.2011-09-10A woman in a white sari with a gold border pours liquid from a brass vessel over a large black stone Nandi bull during a Nandi abhishekam in a temple room. Behind her, a row of black seated sage statues in red and white cloth sits on a raised platform, and a tall standing deity murti in orange and gold stands at right. A brass kalasha, small offerings and a plate of fruit sit on side tables, and a red cloth covers a table at left.2022-01-29A woman in a white and gold-bordered sari bends over a large black stone Nandi bull statue in a temple hall, pouring or offering from a small brass bowl onto the bull's back, which is garlanded with yellow flowers. Behind her, a row of black stone Shiva lingams wrapped in red cloths and flower garlands sit on a raised platform. On the right stand tall painted deity murtis, one holding a trident, with orange and gold draped garments. A brass kalasha vessel, a silver tray of offerings and a steel pot sit nearby, consistent with a Nandi abhishekam.2022-01-29A photograph inside a temple hall lined with rows of dark stone statues. In the foreground, a large black stone lingam sits on a bed of red and orange cloth. A man in white dhoti and shirt stands at right, leaning over the lingam with a vessel, apparently pouring liquid over it. Two women in colourful saris sit at left beside the lingam, one in pink and one in yellow, watching the ritual. This appears to be an abhishekam being performed on a shivalingam.2011-09-10A photograph of a temple abhishekam in progress. Behind them, garlanded deity murtis and framed images stand against a pale wall, with brass bells and a brass urn in the foreground. Several devotees sit on the floor: a woman in a green blouse and dark sari, a woman in a red sari, and another woman in a yellow sari kneeling at the right. A man in a long white robe stands near the right, and a child in a red shirt stands at the left. This appears to be an abhishekam offering to the Nandi at a shrine. The man kneeling appears to be a priest in white; no candidate's appearance meets the criteria for a person.2008-05-03
