Six young women stand in a row on a dirt ground in front of a grey breeze-block wall, each playing a handheld drum with a rope-laced wooden body. They wear draped saris in teal and bright pink with gold-coloured blouses, white shoulder scarves, rudraksha malas, gold necklaces, jhumka earrings and white flowers in their hair. Some hold drumsticks and one holds a small pair of cymbals. A red metal frame and trees appear in the background, with a blue plastic bucket and bag at left.

Five young male drummers perform outdoors on a concrete terrace with palm trees and a stone wall behind them under an overcast sky. Each plays a barrel drum with yellow rope lacing and red-maroon drum bags. The two central drummers wear orange dhotis with gold borders and bare upper bodies with rudraksha malas and red arm bands; the outer drummers wear white dhotis with gold borders and similar malas. Several have white horizontal forehead markings. The drummers are the only physical people visible and no portrait of a person appears in the frame.

Several young women play dhol drums at a performance in front of red draped curtains. In the foreground, a young woman in an orange and gold saree strikes a drum with a stick while smiling, and another in a dark top plays a drum at lower right. Behind them, women in orange, pink and cream sarees and gold jhumka earrings and maang tikka sit and watch. The scene looks like a cultural musical performance.
