Smoke rises from the flame. Before him, on a red-fronted altar with a brass plate, stands a stone shrine with an arched golden frame and orange and red drapes holding deity murtis, including a seated figure and a standing consort. A small red-clad figure stands in an adjacent niche. A silver vessel sits on a carved wooden stand at left, and a stone Nandi bull is visible on the roof ledge.2011-10-04Inside a temple shrine, a shaved-headed man in a white dhoti and white shawl, bare-chested with a red cloth tied at the waist, holds a lit oil lamp (aarti) toward a deity murti. The shrine has a golden arch, red drapes and carved stone pillars, with a sculpted Shiva-family panel and a bull above. A brass bowl sits on a red-and-black counter, and a silver kalasha-like vessel is on a stand at left. The figure is a priest performing aarti; no evidence establishes him as a person, so the identity is unsure.2011-10-04July 09 20102010-07-09October 16 20132013-10-16A photograph of a temple shrine with white stone walls and carved pillars, draped with orange curtains.
