November 14 20052005-11-14A street procession in an Indian town, with a flower-decorated float or palanquin visible in the background behind the marchers. In the foreground, several men in saffron and orange sannyasi-style cloth walk together, some bare-shouldered with orange wraps. The man at right-centre has long dark swept-back hair, a dark tilak mark, and a gold ornamental necklace with a pendant over an orange garment, which is a distinctive cue, but his face and identity are not established here, so the figure is described by role as a sannyasi in procession. Behind them, men in white shirts and white dhotis walk among devotees along a street lined with multi-storey shops and signboards. Garlands and flower petals are visible.2005-11-14November 14 20052005-11-14November 14 20052005-11-14May 08 20122012-05-08A photograph of a temple lane with a central figure in a red-and-orange garment and a long multicolour flower garland of red, yellow and white blossoms, smiling with a white vertical forehead mark, wearing gold necklaces and a rudraksha mala. Several men in saffron orange robes walk closely together, most with rudraksha malas, one with a bare chest and red tilak. In the centre, a man with long swept-back dark hair, a red bindi, a rudraksha mala and a heavy gold ceremonial necklace holds his palms joined in anjali while walking. Behind them, a flower-decorated float or palanquin with pink and yellow blossoms and small red flags is carried through the street, and petals are scattered over the crowd. Several onlookers in white shirts and dhotis watch from the edges. Swamiji (probable): the centre figure's long hair, saffron robe, rudraksha mala and ornate gold necklace match the page's description of the procession honouring the final ceremony of Sri Nithya Arunachalananda Swami.2005-11-14Outdoor photograph of a crowd moving through a temple street near a stone gopuram-style wall.
