In the centre, a gilded throne with a tiger skin draped over its seat sits beneath a canopy; a framed portrait of a smiling man in orange robes and an orange turban hangs above it, garlanded with a wreath. Several women in orange and red saris sit on the floor before the shrine, some with puja trays and oil lamps. Brass oil lamps line the foreground and rugs cover the white marble floor. Nothing about the person in the portrait is confirmed beyond the visible orange turban and robes; the portrait is a depiction of a person, identity uncertain.2013-07-05November 20 20132013-11-20November 20 20132013-11-20August 02 20132013-08-02A temple hall with polished cream floor and a painted shrine wall in pink, green and gold. Two tall painted dvarapala-style guardian figures in orange dhotis with green sashes and crowns flank a central golden throne draped with a tiger-skin cloth. Above the throne a framed portrait shows a smiling man in an orange turban and orange robes, and in front of the throne several saffron-robed monks sit in a row, one younger figure in orange at the centre. In the foreground a priest in a white dhoti and bare upper body with sacred thread and vibhuti marks sits cross-legged before brass puja vessels and a small tray. Brass oil lamps line both sides of the hall. The portrait is a printed image of the throne, not a physical person, and the seated monks in the shrine are the only other physical figures.2013-09-10November 16 20132013-11-16 +1 copiesFebruary 11 20122012-02-11
