Several wear long dreadlocks wrapped in black turbans or with long hair knotted up, and many have rudraksha malas around their necks. In the foreground a bearded man with rudraksha beads and a red tilak sits near the centre, flanked by other seated devotees. Plates of food and small brass vessels sit on banana-leaf-style spreads on the lower left. The central man wears wire-rimmed glasses, long twisted dreadlocks, rudraksha malas and white ash markings on his forehead and body. The man on the right wears a red-orange turban and white markings and sits in profile. Behind them, seated people in white and red clothing hold leaf plates of food; a meal is laid out in front, with brass cups and banana-leaf plates. No identifiable a person candidate is shown.2018-01-08A group of saffron-robed monastics gathers in a plain room with cream walls. In the centre-left, a smiling man sits bare-shouldered in orange cloth with a red-and-gold headband, layered rudraksha and bead malas, a gold necklace and a red bindi, with a bangle-like bead band on his upper arm. Beside him, an elderly bald man with white ash markings sits bare-chested, wearing a large bead mala and a gold ornament, his arm resting on his knee. Standing monks behind them wear orange robes and gold and rudraksha necklaces, and a monk at the left edge holds a hand near the seated man's arm. The scene resembles a satsang or ritual gathering.2012-05-18September 11 20172017-09-11July 15 20162016-07-15 +1 copiesPhotograph of a seated ritual gathering in a hall with red and cream walls.
