A photograph of an indoor ritual on a red carpet. A seated woman with swept-back dark hair, a white tilak, a long red-and-yellow marigold and rose garland, gold bangles and a red-and-gold sari with a leopard-print cloth on her lap places her hand on the head of a man kneeling before her. He wears an ochre-brown kurta and bows his head. Behind them a standing woman in white clothing with a rudraksha-style mala and beaded necklace watches, beside a golden ornamental object draped in purple and garlanded with flowers, and a white cloth-covered vessel sits on the floor. This is a blessing or initiation moment; the seated figure is not clearly identifiable from appearance, so no a person candidate is asserted.2014-04-13Indoor photo of a man seated on red cushions wearing a white floral garland with blue and yellow accents and a rudraksha mala across his chest, a red-brown robe over a leopard-print cloth, with white sacred ash on his forehead and a red dot.
