April 13 20142014-04-13Night photograph of a festival procession. A man in white ceremonial dhoti and shawl with a maroon border holds a long pole with an orange tassel up toward a deity murti. The murti sits on a golden peacock vehicle draped in colourful garlands of white and yellow flowers, with peacock feathers rising behind it. A large golden umbrella with multicoloured fringe shelters the deity. A golden decorated standard with an animal motif appears at the right edge. The person's role appears to be attendant or priest carrying the umbrella pole in a procession, and the dark sky and background indicate evening.2010-11-11November 11 20102010-11-11A photograph of a festival procession at an outdoor ground. Red-roofed buildings and trees stand behind, with a few onlookers at the edge of the frame.2011-10-31Night photograph of a festival deity murti on a decorated palanquin-style shrine under a yellow canopy with blue, red and green fringes. Roses, marigolds and jasmine garlands in red, yellow, white and purple frame the shrine under a green cloth canopy. A large gilded peacock, Murugan's vahana, stands in front, with a white flag bearing a red gem and a silver spear-tipped staff nearby. The scene is outdoors with trees behind, and a red vehicle is visible at the bottom edge.2011-10-31Outdoor procession scene with a richly decorated ratha-style palanquin topped by a large golden umbrella with fringe.
