Night photograph of a dirt path lined with strings of red, blue, green and white fairy lights strung along a red wall and through trees. Two men in white dhotis walk toward the camera: the taller one wears a cream shirt, the other a pink shirt with a dark belt. Piles of excavated soil, rubble and cables lie beside the path.2013-07-21Night photograph of two people standing with palms pressed together in anjali mudra on a dirt ground marked with coloured powder. The person on the left wears a saffron-orange sari-style garment and a white garland of flowers with red blooms, with long dark hair and a small tilak on the forehead. Beside them a man in a white collared shirt and white dhoti with gold border also stands with hands folded in greeting. Behind them a third figure in white is partly visible, and small coloured lights glow in the dark background. The scene reads as a welcoming or reverential greeting, with a probable identification of the saffron-clad figure with a garland as Swamiji (probable), based on the long hair, saffron clothing and garland.2005-07-24A dusk photograph of a dirt path at an ashram lined on both sides with strings of multicoloured fairy lights in blue, green, red and purple strung through trees and along a stone wall. Several people in white clothing walk along the path: a woman in a white sari with a white shawl draped over her head, a figure in white kurta-style clothing, and a woman in a white sari in the right foreground. One person in a reddish-brown garment carries a metal pail or container. A motorcycle with a rider travels in the distance. Stone retaining walls and piled rubble flank the path, with a glowing light at the far end.2013-07-21A night photograph outdoors on dark dirt ground. A man in an orange saffron wrap and bare shoulder holds a rudraksha mala in his hands and gazes upward. Beside him a man in a white short-sleeved shirt and white dhoti, wearing a dark beaded necklace, walks with his hands together and looks ahead. Both are barefoot or in sandals, lit by a faint flash against the black background.2009-01-08A dusk photograph of a dirt path lined with stone retaining walls and strung with multicoloured fairy lights in blue, green, red, orange and purple draped over trees and fences. A man in a grey shirt and dark trousers walks away from the camera on the left. Further along the path, three people in white and one in a red-brown garment walk toward the lights, with stacked rubble and bricks on the right side of the path.2013-07-21Night photograph of two men walking barefoot along a pale pink cloth runner laid over sandy ground between tall tree trunks and a metal railing. The foreground man wears a red-orange sash over a leopard-print garment and a white floral garland with red flowers draped over his shoulders. Behind him, a man in a plain white dhoti and shawl, with a sandalwood-paste tilak on his forehead and beads around his neck, holds a small torch. A light-coloured fabric lies on the ground nearby. The scene appears to be an outdoor procession or arrival along a ceremonial path at night.2014-06-09Night-time photo on an unpaved road lit by strings of coloured lights in red, green and white. Several men in plain white dhotis and white shirts walk in a group; many wear rudraksha or bead malas and a few have white or red marks on the forehead. One man in a white shirt has a green-bordered badge on his chest. At left, a vehicle with a warm headlamp and a decorated front is visible. A man in front holds a folded white cloth, and another at right holds a yellow cloth. Trees and a red-lit structure stand in the background.2015-11-11October 30 20162016-10-30Night photograph of two men walking along a woven mat path through a dark outdoor grove lit by a single street lamp. The man in front wears a long rust-orange robe, a white flower garland draped over his shoulders, and is barefoot, with a dark beard and hair tied back. Behind him a man in a white dhoti and white upper cloth wears a beaded necklace and has light markings on his forehead. A third figure in orange stands further back near a low red platform. Bare trees and a purple logo are visible at the upper left. The front figure's appearance is consistent with a long-bearded sannyasi in saffron-orange robes, but the identification is uncertain.2017-03-19August 03 20092009-08-03Night photograph of a group walking along a dirt path lined with strings of multicolored fairy lights on a red wall and through trees. Foreground figures in saffron and orange robes with rudraksha malas walk beside a man in orange-red robe and beard; behind them men wear white dhotis with gold borders, rudraksha malas and red flower garlands, and one man in a grey shawl walks at right. One figure at left holds a small flashlight. A pile of concrete slabs lies at left. No figure can be confidently identified as a person from appearance alone, so the a person field is unsure.2016-10-30Night photograph of a large crowd walking along a dirt road toward a brightly lit stage at the far end. Most people wear white dhotis and white shirts or kurtas, while a few figures in orange or saffron cloth stand near the right side. Strings of purple and white fairy lights line both sides of the road, and a red wall runs along the right. The crowd suggests a festival procession, though no specific ritual object or deity form is clearly visible.2016-03-07
