He wears a white dhoti and white shawl with gold-yellow borders, a long rudraksha mala around his neck, and matching rudraksha bracelets on both upper arms. White sacred ash lines mark his forehead and arms, with a red kumkum dot between his brows. A small heap of rudraksha beads lies on the mat near his hand. Several young men in white dhoti-style clothes with gold borders sit cross-legged on mats across a tiled floor in a plain hall with a red curtain and white doors behind them. The nearest man, shaved-headed and wearing glasses, wears a rudraksha mala and sits upright with his eyes lowered, a small book beside him. Others sit in a row, some with white ash marks on their arms and foreheads, one with long hair and a mala. Brass vessels and a small table with offerings stand at the left, and a blue-rimmed tray sits near the centre.
