A woman in a white sari with a peach border holds a round silver tray of small painted clay figurines of saints and sages in orange and green robes, some seated and some standing with staffs. Her hand rests on the tray as she shows the figures. Gold bangles are on her wrists and a pendant hangs at her neck. A tripod and a red cloth are visible in the background. The figurines represent a group of sages, and the scene appears to be part of a ritual display connected to the event.

A display of painted clay figurines arranged on a bed of soil among green foliage, depicting a scene of devotees and deities. Two horse-mounted figures in the foreground, one in blue with a red crown and one in pink, sit on white horses with coloured bases. Behind them, many small figures in saffron, red, green, yellow and purple dhotis and saris stand in groups, some holding flutes, some with tilak marks, some wearing garlands. A golden figure stands at the upper right and a painted elephant appears beside it. The figurines are clearly statues, not living people.

A festive display of painted clay dolls, as in a Navaratri golu arrangement, on tiered steps draped in teal and orange silk. In the foreground a row of small figures plays instruments: a pink-clad musician with a nadaswaram-type pipe, a drummer with a drum, and a bare-chested boy with a small pipe. A golden palanquin or ratha with tassels of pink, green and purple stands at left, beside white horse figures. Other dolls include a seated woman in blue, a standing figure in a red sari, and a gold deity figurine at right. Statues only; no living people are visible.

A photograph of a display of painted clay figurines, the kind used in a Navaratri golu arrangement. In the centre a small seated figure in orange robes sits on a dark rock base, with a red tilak on the forehead, a dark bead necklace, and hands held in a gesture of blessing, with a turtle at its base. Nearby stand a green-robed figure with a purple sash and blurred orange-robed figures in the foreground, set against a dark tree, colourful painted dolls and a striped tiered structure. The figures are miniature statuettes, not people, and the appearance of the central figure is not a sufficient basis for identifying anyone.

A photograph of a festive diorama of painted clay figurines on orange and teal silk cloth. At centre stands a dark grey deity murti of a standing Vishnu-form figure with tall crown, layered garlands and jewelled ornaments, flanked by pillars. Around it, painted figures in white dhotis with saffron and green waist cloths and tilak markings play drums and a harmonium, while a bare-chested figure in orange robes stands among them. Two figures lie prostrate in the foreground, one in white and one in green, as in a devotional offering. The scene resembles a temple procession or bhajan arrangement.

A photograph of a golu display of painted clay dolls arranged on a white cloth and an orange-gold silk cloth. Central figures include a deity with a gold crown and garland, a green-faced figure in a red garland, and a seated figure playing a veena in a blue sari. Smaller dolls of children and attendants stand and sit around, with a purple-draped figure at right. No physical people are visible; the figures are all dolls.

A photograph of a Navaratri golu display of painted clay dolls arranged on a white cloth and a gold-and-maroon brocade runner. In the centre, a bright-orange-and-gold deity figure with a tall crown and a garland of pink flowers holds a conch and a mace-like staff, flanked by a green-faced figure in a red garment with a crown and a pink garland. Other dolls include a seated musician playing a veena at left, a seated figure in blue playing a stringed instrument at right, a standing male figure in a white dhoti, and small children figures. Ornate painted figures and a peacock appear in the background. Printed text is visible in the lower right corner.

A photograph of a Golu display showing a row of small painted doll figurines on red-and-yellow bases against a white cloth backdrop. From left to right are a figure in a green top and red dhoti, a dark-skinned figure in armor with a shield, a figure in a red and yellow turban and cloak, a tall dark figure with a shield and headdress, and two female figures in saris, one in green and white and one in pink and blue. A brightly coloured figure with gold ornamentation sits at the left edge. The figures are dolls, not physical people, and the image is slightly blurred.
