In the foreground a man with a black turban and leopard-print headband, bare-chested, wearing orange cloth, orange and rudraksha-style beaded malas and white body markings, raises a lit oil lamp with flame in one hand. Behind him, several young men in orange cloths and black turbans, some bare-chested, hold brass plates of yellow and pink flowers and garlands. A stone well ring with a red-painted base sits at right. The setting appears to be a temple or ashram grounds with wooden railings and greenery.2018-12-22July 07 20092009-07-07October 31 20162016-10-31October 31 20162016-10-31July 07 20092009-07-07October 06 20162016-10-06Outdoor ritual photo at a dusty, excavated site with a bare-trunked tree in the foreground wrapped with red thread, and a red brick wall and green trees behind. A bare-chested man with long dark hair, seen from behind, stands at the tree. Four men stand in a line facing the tree: the man second from left wears a red-and-saffron dhoti with a rudraksha mala and holds a metal plate; the man third from left wears an orange dhoti and shawl with rudraksha mala, white horizontal markings on his forehead and holds a silver plate with banana leaves; the man fourth from left wears orange cloth with white striped body markings and long braided hair, holding a leaf-covered plate; a young boy at right wears orange cloth and a rudraksha mala. This appears to be a ritual offering at the tree; no deity murti or fire is visible.2016-10-31December 23 20162016-12-23
