July 23 20112011-07-23November 28 20112011-11-28A control room of monitors and laptops at an ashram event. Five large monitors line a long desk, showing a grid of many small photographs and video feeds, a mountain peak, and a close-up of a face. In the foreground, a bald man in a white shirt and a person in an orange top wearing headphones operate a laptop and a desktop showing video panels. Cables run across the floor. In the background, people sit cross-legged on the floor in front of brass lamps and offerings, and a standing figure in white stands near a tripod camera. The scene shows live-streaming and media production work. Two people are seated at the desks in the foreground, and a few more are visible in the background.2012-04-08A photograph of several monitors in a dim room showing video feeds of a satsang and ritual event. The largest screens display tiled panels of groups of devotees at altars and gatherings, with a central figure in a red and white sari with garlands visible on one screen. A striped cloth lies on the floor in the foreground, and a laptop sits on a low table. Several screens show text windows and a portrait of a deity. No physical people appear in the foreground; those shown are only on the screens.2012-06-17October 01 20112011-10-01Photo of a satsang hall where several flat-screen monitors on an orange-draped table show a live video feed. The largest screen, a VU monitor, displays a grid of six video panels: priests and devotees at shrines, and in the bottom right a man in a pink turban and pink robes seated before an ornate golden backdrop with a red cushion. Another screen on the left shows a similar figure in pink against a golden arch. Video cameras on tripods stand beside the table, and behind them seated devotees in saffron, pink and green saris sit on mats in a large hall with red curtains and a golden shrine. A purple and gold cloth with printed Tamil-style lettering hangs over the table edge.2011-02-21October 29 20112011-10-29Photograph of a video-conference control setup with several monitors and laptops on red-draped tables. The large right screen shows a man in an orange-and-blue robe with an orange turban and beaded necklaces, seated on an ornate white and silver throne with pink flowers, labelled as a depiction on a screen. Smaller screens show a multi-panel grid of participants in various rooms, including a group in front of a Singapore sign and a seated group with a Calgary sign, plus a shrine-like setup with a puja arrangement on another monitor. Laptops, a mixer and an open black bag sit in the foreground. Physical people in the room are not visible; those shown are on screens.2011-07-23Photograph of monitors on an orange-draped table showing a live multi-site satsang. The left screen is split into four video feeds: a group of devotees seated on mats in a room, two people in white sitting cross-legged, a figure in an orange robe seated on a gold-ornamented throne before a backdrop, and a woman in red and white beside it. The right screen shows a person in pink-orange robes with a rudraksha mala, hands in anjali, seated on a purple cushioned seat. Swamiji (probable): the figure on the right wears saffron-pink clothing and rudraksha beads, and the throne figure wears orange with long hair, consistent with Swamiji on screen. Room audience members sit in the background.2011-02-27October 02 20122012-10-02Video cameras on tripods and a broadcast monitor setup in a temple hall, filming a satsang event. The left monitor shows two men in white and saffron-red ritual clothes seated at microphones, one wearing a red and white garland and the other with a bare shaved head. The right monitor displays a multi-panel grid of smaller video feeds showing devotees seated and standing, a woman in a light sari bowing, and a decorated altar with a deity murti in the lower right. Blurred red curtains and a pale wall form the background.2010-12-28October 11 20152015-10-11
