Outdoor photograph of a palm-fringed ceremonial grounds under bright sky. Under a corrugated roofed open pavilion with a tall trident-topped pole, a group of people in saffron/orange and white garments gather. Several figures in orange robes carry drums and move around the sandy compound; men in white dhoti and shirts stand nearby, and a man in dark trousers and white shirt stands at right beside coconut palms. A crouching man in white works at left on bare ground. No individual can be confidently identified as a person from appearance, so the figures are described by role and clothing only.2016-01-15Outdoor festival procession at a temple-like compound with a tall orange-and-red flagstaff topped by a finial, beneath a corrugated metal shelter with palm fronds at right. Many people in saffron-orange robes and white dhotis gather on a sandy ground. At center-right, a drummer in an orange shawl beats a large drum while others in orange and white stand near ornate decorated poles and a palanquin-like canopy with fringed umbrella panels. Some devotees sit or stand at left among trees. The scene reads as a ceremonial procession.2016-01-15Outdoor temple-courtyard procession under a corrugated-roof pavilion with palm and shade trees. Many people in saffron and orange robes and white dhotis gather in a crowd. Two men at centre carry a decorated palanquin-like structure, and a drummer in orange plays a large drum at right. A tall wooden ritual flagpole with a trident-like finial rises at left. Ornate red and gold umbrellas and canopies are visible, and a child in orange stands near the foreground. Pongal festivities are noted on the page, but the scene itself shows a procession with drums and palanquin.2016-01-15January 15 20162016-01-15November 06 20102010-11-06An outdoor temple setup under a corrugated metal shelter held up by poles, flanked by tall coconut palms in open sandy ground. A banner with printed portraits and text hangs above the platform. On the left, a woman in a green sari stands near two people in white on the sand, and a small child sits in the foreground. A white hatchback car and motorbike are parked at right.2006-12-31January 15 20162016-01-15Outdoor festival procession under palm and tree canopy. Many people in saffron/orange robes and white dhotis stand and walk along a path beside a tall wooden flagstaff with a red-and-orange flag and a red-roofed pavilion with metal framework. Drummers in orange clothing play a large drum on the right, and decorated ornamental umbrellas and kalasha-like poles are carried or set up near the center. A watermarked overlay credit appears at the bottom right. The scene suggests a temple or ashram procession with ritual participants, though no single figure is clearly identifiable.2016-01-15December 31 20082008-12-31Outdoor photo of a large group of devotees standing on a sandy-paved clearing beneath tall coconut palms. Most wear white dhotis or white sarees with orange or yellow shawls and stoles; some wear full orange robes. Several people raise their hands in devotion or hold small objects. A bearded man in orange robes in the lower right foreground turns toward the crowd. A white building with a small window stands at the right edge. The atmosphere suggests a ritual gathering or satsang at an ashram.2008-10-09Outdoor photograph of a sandy courtyard at an ashram compound with palm and leafy trees behind.
