November 20 20142014-11-20November 20 20142014-11-20Night outdoor ritual at a temple-like courtyard with a lit shrine niche in the background. A bare-chested priest in saffron-orange dhoti and shawl, with a gold forehead mark and a rudraksha mala, holds up a rudraksha mala over a brass plate. Facing him, an older man in an orange robe and a black-and-white rudraksha mala bends forward and receives it. Two more priests in rust-red and gold-bordered dhotis with rudraksha malas stand behind and to the left, one holding a plate. A kalasha and pillars with red-and-white bands frame the scene. The orange-clad man has a grey, swept-back hairstyle, and the bare-chested priest wears long dark hair tied up with a gold necklace; neither is clearly identifiable as a person from appearance alone.2014-11-20November 20 20142014-11-20A night-time ritual photograph at an outdoor temple space. In the foreground, a figure in an orange saffron robe with a long rudraksha mala bows forward while a woman in a red-and-gold sari with a gold necklace and a bun in her hair applies a mark with her hand and holds a metal plate. Behind them, several men in red-and-gold dhotis and rudraksha malas stand, one with white tilak markings on his forehead and arms. A lit shrine with a deity murti glows in the background, with a kalasha and red-and-white steps nearby. Their sides are not clearly defined. The scene suggests a puja or abhishekam; no a person identity is asserted from appearance alone.2014-11-20November 20 20142014-11-20Night-time outdoor ritual scene under a dark sky with a tent canopy and a red-and-gold pole overhead. An elderly woman in a bright orange shawl bows forward with folded hands and receives a plate of offerings from a robed monk. A figure in a bare-backed saffron-red garment with a rudraksha mala, seen from behind, holds the plate, while a shaved-headed monk in saffron with a gold-edged cloth and mala stands beside him and another man in saffron stands at the left. Potted plants and white-and-red decorations appear behind them.2014-11-20July 07 20152015-07-07December 11 20092009-12-11January 02 20122012-01-02Photograph of a devotional greeting at an outdoor tented event with gold-and-yellow decorations behind. A bearded man in an orange-saffron kurta and matching orange shawl bows forward with his head lowered while a figure in a dark-haired crown-like hairstyle, bare-chested with an orange-red dhoti and a long red-and-white flower garland, places his hand on the bowing man's shoulder. The garlanded figure has long swept-back dark hair and a crown, and wears a saffron-orange wrap with gold trim. Behind them, several priests in white dhotis with gold borders, wooden rudraksha malas and tilak marks stand watching, and a bald man holds a wooden tray of fruit. The scene is a blessing moment during a ritual gathering.2016-01-03A photograph of a satsang-style gathering at night under a golden parasol. On the left, a man with long dark hair and a dark-brown robe, wearing a yellow-orange marigold garland, bangles and an arm band, smiles while holding up and folding an orange cloth. Behind him, two young men in white dhotis with rudraksha malas stand, one holding a long silver staff. Seated at right, a bearded man with long curly hair in orange robes and a beaded necklace sits on a cushion, and a bald man in an orange headwrap sits beside him, with another attendant in orange at the edge of the frame. A microphone stands at left, and a fan is visible behind the group.2016-07-15
